PATI McLEAN - Lead Vocalist (en español)

Pati at age 8Born in Mexico City, Pati McLean demonstrated a natural ability to learn and sing songs at a very early age. When the family moved to Saltillo, Mexico, which is Pati's hometown, she gave her first public performance at the tender age of eight, singing Mexican romantic songs. As a teenager, she won a national song-writing contest. She appeared on a national television program, "Siempre en Domingo", accompanied by Saltillo's well-known trio "Los Quimicos". Her first band was a Rocking Roll band "Amen".

Pati on Mexican TVAt the age of 20, she joined Polydor recording artists "La Revolucion de Emiliano Zapata", with whom she toured all over Mexico. She also appeared in a Mexican movie, "La Verdadera Vocacion de Magdelena", that featured well-known Mexican actors, such as Angelica Maria and Carmen Montejo. Pati's vocals can be heard on the Polydor Records soundtrack. Pati sang Rhythm and Blues around this time in Monterrey with "Kamino".

She moved to San Antonio, Texas in the 1970's and played with the Rock and Blues band "Quadrant". In 1981 she moved to Houston, recorded, and performed in Mexico with Houston's "Electric Blues Band." In 1989, Pati performed with Cesar Rosas (of Los Lobos) at Salute in San Antonio. She also sang in 1999 at the Hole in the Wall and Antone's with "The Blazers" from Los Angeles.

She moved to Austin, Texas in 1990 and joined the popular Salsa Band "Sazon" as lead vocalist. The band has performed at the Sunken Gardens in San Antonio and for conventions in Austin. At the Austin Annual Acoustic Festival, their performance was taped and televised. She started a band called "Pati's Blues Ramblers" and performed at the legendary Liberty Lunch.

"Blue Flame" was formed in 1996 in order to showcase original compositions. Pati sang lead vocals and wrote lyrics. The band played in Mexico and performed at many of Austin's favorite venues including La Zona Rosa, Stubb's, and the Victory Grill. In 1998, the band released a CD titled "Texas Heat". Two of the band's performances have been televised.

The band changed its name to Pati McLean and Crash! Bam! Boom! In 1999, the band was signed to Lark Records. Their 1999 CD release, "Easy to Love," features 14 original compositions. The band at Top Hat Studios in Austin later recorded its Live and Unplugged! CD. Pati McLean and Crash! Bam! Boom! is a musical experience of a... SÚPER CALIENTE GROOVE.
